A while back, MDK linked me an article discussing the question of whether internet comment sections actually served any good or not. It's a fair question. Actual intellectual discourse? Rare. Trolling and spam? Normal.
My response? "
This isn't even a question. The goal now is just to find good ones."
Here are some from my collection.
A decent youtube comment is usually harder to find than the Hope diamond...
ReplyDeleteBut when you find the good YouTube comment you can save it like so, without being cursed.
DeleteGaga one had me rolling. I can usually spot a nice comment, but only if I'm searching. I'd have to really love a video.
ReplyDeleteI don't search for comments. Especially not through the shit that is a typical YouTube comment section.
Delete+1 for Google making it super easy to find what's being replied to though. That was nice.
I've seen the Hawking one before but I still LOLed at it.
ReplyDeleteKept the doctor away for another day.
DeleteThat last one was proof that actual intellectual discussion CAN happen. It's just so rare that it should be put on the endangered species list.
ReplyDeleteI didn't need proof. I knew it was rare, not impossible.
