Before I started writing this post I went looking through my own blog for a previous piece (I thought) I'd published about how knowledge of another language conveyed Bonus Points to your Google-fu when looking for stuff on the internet. Then I realized I haven't made any such post here, it was an answer I'd submitted on Quora.
A decade ago I watched a trailer for an anime called "Dai-guard: Terrestrial Defense Corp.". I never got around to watching the anime itself, still haven't, but I instantly loved the music in the trailer. Turns out they just used the opening sequence for the trailer, so this song is actually the opening theme song as well.
Well, I'd never been able to find a high quality version of the full song. I could only find either good TV sized ones or crappy quality full length ones. Until now. With my post-uni Japanese experience I tried again today and found it forthwith. And my Japanese is admittedly rudimentary, too.
I'll upload it to YouTube eventually, but for now here's a high quality full length mp3 file of the song I'll share with you. Enjoy the fruits of my labour.

Quest Completed!
It's done. It's all done.
It took a whole damn month to sort out some things on their end but it's all cleared now.

Milestone
So it's been about three years since my university days... Let's ruminate on that for a moment. (╯ヮ╰)
If I were inclined to be trite I could throw in some platitudes right now, e.g. "Seems like only yesterday", "Man, time flies", "Feels like so long ago", etc. And those don't all express the same sentiments either. Viewed to scale, three years of lifetime isn't long at all. Then again, 3 years is 12% of the total lifetime I've lived so far.

A Warm and Fuzzy Dream
I was wrapped in a deliciously warm pile of blankets, basking in an envelope of warmth in a frigid room. Then D-girl appeared and sat on the edge of the bed. I gave her my spot and tucked her in, putting a pillow on top of the mound for extra shielding from the elements. Thereupon, a wave of what I can only describe as a "warm and fuzzy" sensation washed over me, relieving me of any regret for such foolishly gallant altruism.
I woke up for a moment then but a glance revealed it to be the ungodly hour of 5AM. Briefly, I considered immediately texting D-girl to tell her all about how nice I was but my phone was not within arm's reach. The prospect of leaving my cocoon of warmth dissuaded me of all those humble notions, as I doubted there would be any infusions of warm and fuzzy here.
You wanker, I can see you posted this at 5:40AM! "ungodly" indeed!
Yeah, well, I'm an atheist. XP

YES!
Months ago I lost my 4GB SD card. It can hold a large cargo of memories in the forms of video and pictures but I put it somewhere last year and I couldn't find it again. Well, guess what?! I FOUND IT TODAY! I had put it in my camera's original box along with the AV cable, that I never use, and the battery case, which I never need. Aren't I just the smartest idiot? Of course I should put that thing in the camera box if I'm not going to use it. That's smart. But why didn't I check there when I couldn't find it? That's dumb.

High Five, Mr. Prez (O____O)/
He promised change. You got it. The first president brave enough to publicly support gay marriage.
OH YEAAAH!! FUCK ALL YOU HOMOPHOBIC FAGGOTS!
The irony does not escape me. \(>ワ<)/
The response from the Republican Party has been generally along these lines:
-"How dare he play this card during an election year! It isn't fair. He's trying to pander for votes."
-"Supportive of gay rights? Whatever, it's not like it was an important issue anyway. Not like the economy."
-"While polls show that most Americans support gay marriage, take a look at this map of America. Voters in almost every state have already told their legislatures they don't support gay marriage."
So some of them are saying that Obama's just saying this as a political play for votes. Then, on the other hand, they claim that most people don't support gay marriage. Well, in that case, how is this a play for votes? I really want to know how these two contradicting claims reconcile with each other.

FOX News never fails to provide me with my daily dose of laughter. Even if it is just one of their local affiliates. Dumb fucks. (>ワ<)

Can't Let the Holiday Go Unnoted Can I?
This was my costume last year. Man, it's been a year already.....
Props to you if you know who this is.
For the curious, that's a gym mat propped to the left there, a towel hanging on a door hook over my shoulder and a photograph of cherry blossoms in Tokyo above a light switch on the right edge.

100th post!
Ho ho, in other words it's been about 100 days since I started this blog!
I really have to thank all you guys, even you who haven't started following my blog yet. I started this blog in order to share my thoughts on things with people and maybe to introduce you to some really awesome stuff you might not have found otherwise. However, in writing these posts I've had to ponder how to present my thoughts in the best manner to an audience, much different from thinking them to oneself, and in the process I've had to inspect those thoughts. Reading your comments in response to my posts and reading your blog posts on things that I have opinions on, at times I've spotted the faults in my own arguments and had to re-analyze why I came to think a certain way and not another, determine whether I oughtn't to change my opinions. This introspection helps me to grow and I think it's something people neglect to do on a regular basis. Sure, you shouldn't bend and twist in the winds of outside pressures on what to think, what to believe, what to feel, but never reconsidering something after accepting it the first time, or even the second time, is no way to live.
Being sure and being right are not the same. Don't forget that.
I like to say that I view the world in a manner "neither wide-eyed nor narrow-minded" and I think this is a good and balanced path to walk.
I wouldn't be who I am right now, this very moment, without mentally jousting with myself and with you guys, though you might not have realized this at the time haha.
Thank you. (^____^)
P.S. Also, I altered the blog layout a little bit.

Ain't no passin' craze
Woke up this morning and said, "Hakuna matata...what a wonderful phrase...." Nice day.
(^____________^)
Enjoy two spots from my treasured image folder.
And then some time later, this one popped up.
