Dream: Poor C2

The only problem I really fear about immortality is losing my mortal friends.
I mean, even now I occasionally feel sad when I think about people I might not see with any kind of regularity after we part ways. It doesn't happen often but it still happens. And I've only lived about two decades! Extrapolate if I lived centuries. /(⊙Д⊙)\

These are truly issues that keep me up at night. ╮(╯ヮ ╰)╭

==================================
I was in a large indoor multipurpose gym room practicing wushu. Or I would have been if I had my shoes.
Standard issue wushu footwear.
Unfortunately, I'd managed to misplace them and D-girl and Z-girl were helping me look for them under benches and in the lockers. I went to the front desk to check the Lost & Found bin but they didn't have them either. There I encountered two other friends and another acquaintance(!): F-boy, C1 and C2. F-boy and C1 are friends but I'd only consider C2 an acquaintance. The funny thing is C1 and C2 are twin brothers, nearly identical in fact, but I never got to spend that much time with C2. Oh wells.
F-boy proceeded to tell me how the food court sold really good hot dogs and also reasonably priced gasoline.
In real life, I wouldn't trust any hot dogs sold at a place that sold gasoline.
We all go back in the multipurpose room and at this point the entire building started to sway. The whole thing was made of glass now. The walls started to crack and shatter and we all ran for the exit. I thought to myself, "Well, good thing I'm not wearing FeiYues. They have thin soles. Not much protection from glass." It didn't occur to me that barefoot wasn't a more attractive option.

From the outside we watched as the towering structure came down in sheets and shards. It was actually quite beautiful. Only after gravity had finished its work did we realize C2 hadn't made it out. We thought it fitting to create a large glass statue of him, made out of the very building that had struck him down.

Damn, I Miss Wushu

I'm beginning to feel the lack of easily accessible large empty indoor spaces around here. Acutely.
/(≥﹏≤)\
Back at uni I could go to any one of three gyms within a few minutes walk from home. Here, I'm at a loss. Wushu really does take up quite a bit of space. Especially some of the flashier techniques.

This is way back when I was really crappy. Now I'm just regular mediocre haha.

In other news, I found a kung fu combat technique manual in the bathroom today. Not mine, probably dad's. That's one of those moments when I feel a swell of pride for being Asian. *nyuk nyuk nyuk*

Lucid dream, sad dream

Had a terribly sad dream last night. I guess I am lucky enough to be one of those people who can lucid dream? Zach mentioned that he couldn't, which made me consider the possibility that it is not as common as I thought. Any dream that I am aware of having ends up turning lucid, even if I can't perfectly recall it later that day. Is this common?

So last night three of us, myself, a girl and one other guy, dash into a house, chasing after a man with a knife. The lights are out and the only light source is an old style camcorder I'm holding with the light turned on. The girl leads the way, holding her own little kitchen knife, and I follow, shining the light so we can see. We go up some stairs to the second floor and our third loses sight of us, getting lost below. There's no time to wait for him to catch up, we have to run on. We circle through all the rooms but they are empty, there's no third floor but where could he have gone? The pair of us complete the circuit and head back towards the stairs to search beneath. Perhaps he dashed ahead of us and went back below? She turns the corner and screams out. I come around just in time to see him stab her through the chest. At this point the darkness disappeared and I dropped the light, lunging forward with my own knife. (No guns apparently.) His blade pierced my shoulder but I drive mine into his chest. My left hand comes across to grab his kinfe by the blade, holding it so it doesn't go all the way through the joint. We fall against the banister and I push harder. His breaths slow and stop.

It really hurt when he stuck me. The shoulder went numb but the real pain came when the blade bit into my fingers. When I woke up I lay there for a long while thinking about how we had both failed her. Not 'failed to protect her', as she wasn't a limp and delicate waif. She was our team-mate, every bit as strong and capable as we were.

Sometimes, when I have incredibly vivid dreams like this, I wonder if that wasn't a glimpse into the life of another dimension's Me. In this case, I really hope not. (_ . .)
Damn. It was intense.
