I was wrapped in a deliciously warm pile of blankets, basking in an envelope of warmth in a frigid room. Then D-girl appeared and sat on the edge of the bed. I gave her my spot and tucked her in, putting a pillow on top of the mound for extra shielding from the elements. Thereupon, a wave of what I can only describe as a "warm and fuzzy" sensation washed over me, relieving me of any regret for such foolishly gallant altruism.
I woke up for a moment then but a glance revealed it to be the ungodly hour of 5AM. Briefly, I considered immediately texting D-girl to tell her all about how nice I was but my phone was not within arm's reach. The prospect of leaving my cocoon of warmth dissuaded me of all those humble notions, as I doubted there would be any infusions of warm and fuzzy here.
You wanker, I can see you posted this at 5:40AM! "ungodly" indeed!
Yeah, well, I'm an atheist. XP

Hugs!
I've forgotten almost all of the dream I had last night. The only thing I do recall is giving D-girl a hug.

♫Pooh Bear, Winnie the Pooooh Bear♫
D-girl loves Winnie the Pooh. Loves.
One night I was bored and D-girl had work to do. So I had to amuse myself.
Enjoy. For best results, click on the first one and use Blogger's built-in slideshow.

More Eats
Here's another picture from that day. It was the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C., in case you were wondering why all the Japanese foods.
Also D-girl in the middle and Z-girl on the right. She seems slightly pleased.

Unfamiliar Ceilings
Anywayz, here's some interesting stuff for you, on the house. S-girl only has a cameo role in it but whatevs.
===============
I'd like you all to know that I'm a pretty awesome drunk. When I haven't imbibed anything orange in colour at any rate. Heh. I get really talkative and happy and generally just a fun guy. Just as much as my sober self, guaranteed!
There have been
The first time happened, appropriately, after a Greygoose party only a short time after I'd starting drinking. Not much tolerance yet, you understand. Nothing big to note there. All I remember of the night before was trying to stay awake and focused. At some point a game was played using dice of this nature. I don't remember anything from that segment. I'm okay with that.
The second time:
I woke up wearing a hoodie I'd never seen before, in an apartment, and laying next to S-girl.

The third time I had too much after a Halloween party. Fortunately, it was hosted in my house so I didn't have far to go before passing out in an odd position, face down. Actually, in that episode I didn't wake up to an unfamiliar ceiling, it was an unfamiliar floor. It was, in fact, my own room. How embarrassing. At some point one of my housemates returned late at night and noticed my light on and my door ajar. He peeked in and said I looked like I'd been shot in the back. For obvious reasons I do not have a photo of said weirdness.
The fourth time happened not too long ago. It was actually during the second hiatus I took in December, I think. I drank something orange and spent the next day with the worst hangover I've ever had. Although, put that way it doesn't mean much. I'd only had one hangover before that and it wasn't too bad. Only been hungover twice so far, though I've passed out or thrown up plenty. Can't have it all, I 'spose.

A Nerf Gun Dream
Posted for 12/3. (This is for personal reference. Pay it no mind.)
Not to worry guys, I remember the crossroads I mean to take but I'd like to get these dreams down as close to their date of creation as possible, before the haze of time thickens too much.
My friends and I had ourselves a little gift exchange, by the way. D-girl picked up a nifty Nerf Gun.
===================
Now that I think about it, this dream was a lot like this video here.
Since I only just remembered that clip I don't quite think it 'inspired' the dream though. I believe that credit is due to Call of Duty and the Nerf Gun itself.

An Odd Dream
This is a dream I had over the past weekend.
I was in D-girl's apartment. To be specific, it wasn't her IRL apartment, it was an apartment that only belonged to her in the dream. In addition, rather than her actual roommates she lived with some faceless strangers. ╮(╯_╰)╭ I realized that I had neglected to secure my bike so we go downstairs. This didn't make sense either, as you know, I drove to visit her so I wouldn't have had a bike with me. I made my way towards a parking garage (?) and encounter an old friend who I haven't seen in years. I believe this segment of the dream spawned from the fact that I was seeing other old friends after an extended hiatus. He picked me up, carried me around the corner of the garage and tossed me in the bushes. After that he disappeared but, more importantly, without the large building obstructing my view I could see a massive nimbocumulus cloud in the distance. That is a thundercloud if you didn't know. A feeling of trepidation chased us all back inside.
The following segment very clearly takes its inspiration from the Zombies mode from COD: Black Ops. All of us scrambled to batten down the hatches, held X to rebuild the barricades, and man strategic windows. I watched as the dark cloud moved over head. Moments after I began to think that the bottom of the cloud looked oddly solid and flat a large minigun drifted past the window. The cloud was a ship of some kind. To the right one of the flight-capable squid-like aliens from Crysis appeared and the gun opened fire. The sound waves from the gigantic gun shattered the windows. Instantly, Objective Markers appeared at these points and we had to board the openings shut. Soon after, a gondola like that of a zeppelin passed by and who should be seen at the controls but Boba Fett. Yes.
==============================
Yep. I like how I recognized where the fractured shards of sanity came from in this one.

I Don't Miss People?!
I'd been passively aware of this personal trait for a long time but I suppose I never gave it much thought until D-girl brought it up.
At the end of the school year most people, including most of my friends, went home for a few days before returning to move their things back home. My time at uni had come to an end altogether so I spent the time packing up from the leased house I'd been living in, prepping to return home for the last time.
After a few days D-girl came back and she half-jokingly asked if I'd missed her. I suppose my reply wasn't duly sincere haha. My smile doesn't help with looking trustworthy either.
(^ヮ^;;)7 It's a testament to how well she understands me that this didn't faze her in the least.
She is right in noting that I don't miss people, that it's "just part of my personality". Honestly, I can't say that I'm apologetic about it. However, what I fear most is that it will hurt their feelings. There might be a sense that I don't appreciate them or care about them, that they were just the latest in a line of 'friends' that I will meet and discard in my life. This is most certainly not the case.
I don't forget them but I guess the most candid way to describe it would be that they simply don't come to mind everyday. Not quite an 'out of sight, out of mind' sort of action but not far removed either.
I would attribute this to my "Live every day everyday" philosophy. Think about that line if you have to. It'll make sense eventually.

D-girl
O-boy was truly the best 'friend' a socially-stunted, camaraderie-starved, anti-religious Asian boy attending a predominantly-White, private Christian elementary school could have wished for. While I have no desire to try and recapture our friendship after all these years, and I make no assumptions about the person he has become today, I will always remember him for what he was to me at that time: a good friend.
Conversely, the friends I've made over these more recent past few years, they are people I would never want to just watch as they walked away outside a BB&T. Er... yeah.
D-girl. She wasn't the very first friend, that is to say, she wasn't the very first of those "awesome people" that I met. In fact, I must confess that I didn't pay her much mind for quite a while after we'd initially met. Damn... yeah, I'm stupid sometimes...
By the way have I mentioned that I have a low view of first-years? Even when I was one I had a pretty dismissive attitude for those punks. I'll get into that some other time.
My first distinct memory of her? Some time after Halloween had passed we were gathered around someone's camera, reviewing some pictures and there was one of her and a friend. If I recall correctly D-girl was a pale-faced ghost. The friend was in some other outfit. The important thing is that this caused me to remark, "Hey, one cute, one scary; just like in real life!", after which I scooted away.
(( O◡O)~~...(⌐ ⌐_)(^.^ )
Our friendship didn't immediately blossom after that though. I can't imagine why. ╮(╯_╰)╭
I did start talking to her more after that though and we hung out at various parties. That year I was in almost every club that was in any semblance Asian-related so my social life picked up a lot. The point when I really thought of her as one of my favorite people came after one of those shindigs.
She had too much *tsk tsk* and we were outside the house. We were sitting on the curb since she wasn't feeling well enough to walk. (I wonder if she'll mind me saying all this... ah wellz) She texted a friend to come and pick her up but I think she was busy or some such. She threw up at some point and I got her a cup of water. She had a precarious hold on her phone and I told her to hand it over before she dropped it in the puddle. She wouldn't. And she did. Ugh. I cleaned it off for her and that's when I knew I must consider her a good friend hahahaha. \(>ワ<)/
I took this photo then and every time I switched to a new phone I took a new one with the same template.
