The first part of the dream slipped away from me rapidly upon waking and I could only recover a single phrase: "Pycerion Ryncol". The significance of this phrase has been lost forever.
Fortunately I remember the second part more clearly. I was driving my car back from the elementary school I went to as a kid. It was very hard to control and I narrowly missed plowing over a construction crew working on the side of the road. However, not everyone made it unscathed. At the last moment I bumped the last guy's elbow and caused him to drop his styrofoam sandwich box. I felt so bad that I pulled over up the road and went back to apologize. He took it surprisingly well. He refused my offer to buy him another sandwich but instead asked me to drive his sick dad to the hospital. In retrospect, I find this a shockingly foolish idea. Having just demonstrated my questionable driving ability he asks me to transport his ailing father? The sky rapidly darkened as I drove toward the ER.
And that's all I got.

More Dreams and More Destiny Music
So last night I dreamed I was in my van trying to take a shower. (%__)7
But this girl kept interrupting me while trying to setup the equipment and asking for my recommendations on what suitcase to buy from the nearby mall outlet. I never got to take that shower. (;_;)

This song is from a short spin-off series for SEED Destiny, "Gundam SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer".

Say What You Want About SEED Destiny, It Had Good Music
As the title says, Gundam SEED Destiny was shitty and most Gundam fans, including myself, prefer to ignore its existence, BUT let's not blame the music makers for crappy story.
I've been going through my music collection (it's massive) and fixing up all the ID3 tags and such so they reflect Album, Artist and such properly.
Haven't listened to some of this stuff in a long time. Shame.

First Person Sneaker
So, speaking of video games AND speaking of thing I've spoken of in past posts, I got to thinking about other games I like and, naturally, Thief came up.
You want to know one of my pet peeves? People who squander stealth.
There are some games where you, the player, can just go in like a juggernaut, shooting err'body, throwing 'nades in all directions, and leaving every battlefield behind you littered with charred bodies, blackened craters and bullet holes in every surface. Many games don't penalize you for it and, conversely, they don't reward you for a conservative, economic play style either. In games like that, I have no gripes about people taking the "Rambo approach".

MMORPG and FPS and I'm all out of acronyms...
Any of you play Guild Wars? It's a wonderful online RPG and the sequel is actually gathering beta players as we speak. I've always loved GW more than WarCraft because of the art style. It isn't as cartoony as WoW (oh nice, another acronym). Furthermore, it had a captivating storyline that really drew me in.
What struck me today was that I remembered there are/were a lot of GW players who didn't care about the storyline at all and only played the game's PvP (player vs player) side. I'm like, "What the heck?!" Since when did people start playing RPGs without stories?! What do they think this is, an FPS? And the irony is that, on the other hand, FPS games have really engaging stories these days.
Think Half-Life, Halo (which I've already praised), CoD: Black Ops, and Mass Effect. That last one really blurs the line but whatever.
Gone are the classic days of Doom and Quake and ROTT (Rise of the Triad) in which we, for all intents and purposes, just a floating batch of guns. To this day I don't know why and what the hell I was killing all those monsters for. ╮(╯ヮ╰)╭
But in a role playing game, how do you leave out that "role playing" part?
In other news, I still think it's odd for a person to play using an opposite gender avatar. (Avatar! Look that word up.) And the people who say they want something nice to look at.... You spend your time ogling your character? That's a little unsettling.
In more news, playing Guild Wars really have me an appreciation for small increments of time. 3 seconds can be a very long time when lots of things are happening. I'll never forget that.
