OH SNAP GUYS
So there's this fictional band called the 金玉ガールズ (Kintama Girls), right? They exist in the world of Detroit Metal City. It's a cool series I highly recommend checking out if you have a sense of humour.
Anyway, the (fictional) band released a single cd and I managed to pick it up a few months ago. But, a terrible, terrible twist of fate befell me. The track titles on the files had become corrupted.
Three tracks. I already knew the name of the first track (title of this post) so that wasn't a problem. The third track was an instrumental version of the first, again no problem. But Track 2. The file name was just a jumble of nonsensical wingding symbols. How the hell do I find its name? This is pretty obscure material to begin with. "Hey internet, what's the name of the second track on a hard-to-find single from this fictional band?"
I filed the quest away for a while but today, I found it. At long last. A website that sells imported cds decided to post the tracklist.
2.

More Dreams and More Destiny Music
So last night I dreamed I was in my van trying to take a shower. (%__)7
But this girl kept interrupting me while trying to setup the equipment and asking for my recommendations on what suitcase to buy from the nearby mall outlet. I never got to take that shower. (;_;)
=========================
This song is from a short spin-off series for SEED Destiny, "Gundam SEED C.E. 73: Stargazer".

Say What You Want About SEED Destiny, It Had Good Music
As the title says, Gundam SEED Destiny was shitty and most Gundam fans, including myself, prefer to ignore its existence, BUT let's not blame the music makers for crappy story.
I've been going through my music collection (it's massive) and fixing up all the ID3 tags and such so they reflect Album, Artist and such properly.
Haven't listened to some of this stuff in a long time. Shame.

An odd Loki anime music post
There's an anime I never watched called Mythical Detective Loki Ragnarok (a.k.a. Matantei Loki Ragnarok/ 魔探偵ロキRagnarok). Despite this handicap at one point I downloaded a RealMedia file of the opening solely to listen to the opening theme song.
That was about 10 years ago, back when RealPlayer was little better than malware. Remember how it would put that icon in the taskbar even if you unticked the checkbox under Performance to disable it? And how about how it urged you to buy the Pro version every time you launched the application?
Well, ten years later, I still haven't watched that anime but yesterday the theme song popped into my head and I felt the need to listen to it again.
If I was inclined to watch it I could do so more easily than ever now: The entire series is available on YouTube's animenetwork channel. Unfortunately, a high quality video of the opening doesn't exist and I had to go to animenetwork's upload of the 1st episode to watch the OP. In the end I watched the whole episode. It's not as good as I had hoped. Good thing I didn't spend these loooong years anticipating this series hahAHAha!! It's rather childish and not nearly as good as the OP itself, in my opinion. Ah wells.
It's worth checking out. The OP song, I mean.

J-Pop #2: Shining Star
There's a hurricane a'stormin' outside so I wrote this post on Friday. Thanks to the miracles of Post Scheduling this should come out here on Sunday at 3:00pm.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, this one is pure J-Pop, I swears it. (^^___;;)7
From Nami Tamaki, one of the genre's greatest.
Before Hallyu hit me in college my anime love sailed me through a lot of J-Pop territory. On the other hand, I didn't listen to a lot of radio. As a result of this I grew up appreciating music without having to understand the lyrics.

J-Pop #1: Younha
To balance out all that K-Pop here's a dose of J-Pop for you. Some of you may recognize this song as one of the ending songs for Bleach (back when it was good). It was so good they made it the opening theme song for a while, too.
I love the piano in here. (^___^)

Oh snaps, I didn't realize she sang a Korean version, too! Uhh... does this mean I just maintained the imbalance? (___- -)7 Woops.
She's actually Korean by birth. How interesting. I didn't know her at all! (^_^)
